Classes

Every Dara Doodle class is built on the science-backed methodology of using music to support educational development.

Class is not just about teaching songs. You're kids are building neural pathways that make all learning easier: language development, coordination, confidence, and social connection.

Dara Doodle programs are designed around a four-semester year. We encourage our students to enroll for a full semester, typically 8-12 weekly classes. Class sizes are kept low, so drop-in spaces are limited during the semester.

Below you'll find a description of our regularly offered classes, which are designed around your child's age. If you have siblings that would like to attend together, there's an all ages class as well.

Baby Music: First Songs

0 – 4 Months

The Gentlest Start

In smaller groups, we focus on nursery rhymes, simple songs, soothing movement, and sensory experiences that support bonding and regulation.

Building Foundations

These little ones are discovering the world through their senses. We use gentle movement, vestibular stimulation, and early sign language (ASL) to support balance, coordination, spatial awareness, and emerging communication.

  • Early communication skills (including baby sign)
  • Social connection with other families

Music for Siblings and Friends

Perfect for families with multiple children or friends who want to explore music together. Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers experience music side by side, each engaging at their own developmental level.

Movement with Purpose

These movers and shakers are building confidence in their bodies, and finding their voices.We channel their need for proprioceptive input into purposeful bounces, drumming and dancing. Key signs (ASL) are also introduced to support early communication and improve transitions.

  • Early social skills (turn-taking, sharing)
  • Steady beat and rhythm recognition
  • Curiosity and safe exploration

Ready to Shine

Bursting with speech and imagination, these kids are ready for new musical challenges. We sing call-and-response songs, explore rhythm, melody, dynamics and tempo while taking first steps in performing and improvising.

What's Developing:

  • Vocal confidence and pitch matching
  • Creative expression and improvisation
  • Performance skills (showing the class what you can do!)
  • Advanced coordination through dance and rhythm
